THE PERIOD IN QUESTION, BEGINNING IN 1964, WAS CHARACTERIZED ON ONE HAND BY LACK OF BELIEF IN THE CREATIVE ABILITIES OF ISRAELI CHOREOGRAPHERS, AND ON ANOTHER BY AN IMMENSE IMPROVEMENT IN THE DANCERS' ABILITIES AND IN THE PROFESSIONALISM OF PERFORMANCES.
